COMPETITORS BUYING OPA MEMBERSHIPS ONLINE SHOULD BE SURE TO PRINT OFF ALL DOCUMENTS AS PROOF UNTIL YOU RECEIVE YOUR OPA CARD. IF YOU BUY OPA CARD BY MAIL USE MONEY ORDER AND RETAIN YOUR COPY FOR PROOF ON THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION. WINDSOR CUP Jamor Enterprises will not be running the Windsor Cup this year. It looks like it may not be happening this year. After 2 years of incurring financial loos with this event we made the decision to discontinue running it. I know Windsor is a great bodybuilding town and someone from Windsor should revive it. We have 3 IFBB PRO's from Windsor, Fouad Abiad, Jane Awad and Lou Joseph. WORLD PREMIERE: TRIBES OF THE 21ST CENTURY SEPTEMBER 4, 9:00PM Lone Eagle Entertainment, in association with Discovery Civilization Channel, announces the premiere of the documentary series "Tribes of the 21st Century. Some of our OPA athletes will be featured and some coverage was filmed at our 2008 Stratford competition. This three part series explores the complicated and often misunderstood world of 21st century tribes: the "Stand Up Comics (airing September 4 at 9pm EST), the "Tribe of Bodybuilders" (airing September 11 at 9pm EST) and the 'Tribe of Bike Couriers" ( airing September 18 at 9pm EST). Written by veteran journalist and award winning writer Allen Abel," Tribes of the 21st Century" is a documentary anthology series (3X60 minutes) that takes an in-depth look at different "tribes" within our society: tight knit communities that are defined by a shared occupation, interest, or habit. "Tribes" that we are not born into, but choose for ourselves. "Tribes" that thrive on the fringes of modern civilization. UPCOMING JAMOR FALL COMPETITIONS Supplement Source Woodstock Classic Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championships October 4, 2008 College Avenue Secondary School (CASS), 700 College Ave, Woodstock, ON. This is a level one event and will qualify you for level two London and Westerns November 15, 2008. Anyone who was planning to qualify in Windsor should change their plans and do it in Woodstock. You can register online now at www.jamor.com. Guest poser for Woodstock will be IFBB Fitness PRO Mindi O'Brien. She always does a spectacular entertaining exhibition. Weigh-in and registration will be at 9 am at CASS. Pre-judging for Bodybuilding at 11 am Pre-judging for Fitness and Figure 12:30 pm Animal Strongman Series Finals Competition www.animalstrongman.ca on the School grounds 2:00 pm Finals at 7 pm. This will be the first Jamor promotion to feature "Classic Bodybuilding Classes for Men" There will be three height classes and an overall winner with the overall winner receiving a cash prize of $500. This portion of the competition is not part of the OPA tier system. You can enter both the classic and open classes if you conform to the weight restrictions for classic bodybuilding. Refer to the rules at www.bao.on.ca .Judging for classic bodybuilding will favour a symmetrical aesthetic physique like Frank Zane or Vince Gironda.
